In response to “Holding mixers in other communities such as Oak Hill was briefly discussed. Offering focus groups and periodic meetings related to specific topics outside of Fayetteville was agreed upon”.
I am the new liaison for On Trac Oak Hill, and would like Oak Hill to be more involved with the Green Team.

Nuttall Middle school should check out the DEP’s REAP program- they offer recyling assistance grants that can make it more cost-effective.

Schools should also install low flow faucet aerators they are extremely inexpensive and can cut water usage quite a bit.

thank you for your comments. Is there a way to place the leaves on a screen so the compopost will fall through the bottom and be easy to gather. Maybe raise the screened composter off the ground a foot.

Thomas and I talked more about having an energy contest where people could sign up at Bridge Day. They would be required to keep their energy bills for a set amount of time (3 or 6 months) starting the month prior (Sept – to ensure no one jacks up there usage in order to cheat). Whatever family has lowered their energy usage the most (percentage wise) will win a prize. Maybe we can get Lowes or another local company to donate an energy star dishwasher or other appliance.
